On this show, I continue to explore negative self-talk. I look at this from the perspective of how negative self-talk can have the effect of causing us to procrastinate over taking action, or how it can cause us not to take any action at all.

I discuss the different types of procrastinator that have been identified by Dr. Linda Sapadin, PhD. Do you identify with either of these broad types of procrastination? Do you feel worried or anxious around the task over which you are procrastinating? Alternatively, are you bored or frustrated by the task?

  1. Write down all your skills, talents and achievements. You will work with these. 
  2. Identify the cause of your procrastination with precision. This will allow you to move towards a solution.
